A multimedia collaboration between myself and contributing artists Kylynn Delfel, and Marisa Gonzales. The focus of the work was on the decay and growth we live next to every day. The work was heavily inspired by Dutch still life paintings and their elements which commonly included organic objects and animals that represented some form of decay, such as wilting flowers, skulls, and hourglasses. Each set of similar imagery was meant to represent different levels of decay in the lives of each object and depending on their placement in relation to each other, they create a narrative of objects.
Each unique image includes linoleum cut or screen printing techniques as a base, and were later added to with a combination of water color, graphite, charcoal, ink, and chalk.
